I was eager to mix a cocktail after receiving Pathfinder, a non-alcoholic Amaro alternative. I started with a Black Manhattan, which is one of the best non-alcoholic cocktails I’ve had yet. To make this version, I used:
- 2 parts Lyre’s American Malt
- 1 part Pathfinder
- 1-3 dashes of bitters (I used Angostura Orange but you can use regular or a non-alcoholic brand)
- 2 cherries (I’d use Luxardo, but was out)
Prepare garnish and set aside. Mix liquors & bitters in the shaker without ice. Add ice and shake vigorously for 3 seconds. Strain into fancy schmancy vintage glass you haven’t gotten around to selling yet (or, you know, whatever you have laying around).
Cheers!
