I tried the Pierre Zero Prestige Chardonnay, which looked promising from it’s online reviews. The color is gorgeous and I was so excited to crack it open and give it a try. I love a great, buttery Chardonnay in the wintertime, and this one looked like it might hit the notes.
From the first drift of scent, I knew this was not going to be the Chardonnay that I was looking for. It wasn’t a straight grape juice scent, but it was definitely fruity and sweet. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it until I took a taste.
If this were labeled as a white Sangria, or maybe even a Gewürztraminer, I probably would give it a 4.5/5. The flavor is very sweet and floral with strong peach and tropical notes. It actually tastes like it could have alcohol in it. That said, had it been a white Sangria or a Gewürz, I also wouldn’t have bought it. Alas, my search shall continue.
The Pierre Zero Prestige Chardonnay runs around $20-$25 a bottle, has 145 calories and 36g of carbohydrates per 200ml. You can view my other non-alcoholic wine reviews here.
