It’s the 2nd drink up from my For Bitter For Worse Holiday Trio sampler. Had I purchased any full size bottle of this based on description alone, this would have been the one. I love smoky, sweet cocktails, especially in the Fall and Winter, but this one fell short for me.

The nose is liquid smoke, which carries through to first sip. Other than that, you get maple syrup and apple cider vinegar. The three flavors felt disconnected to me, one flavor after another vs layered. I felt it lacked the complexity and sophistication that I loved in Eva’s Spritz and The Saskatoon.

Either way, I’m so glad these were offered in a sample pack and I had the opportunity to try it in a lower entry fashion. I have one more that I am very much looking forward to trying!
