For Bitter For Worse- The Saskatoon

Rating: 4 out of 5.

My husband’s out to dinner with friends, the kid is at a friends, and I am working “late” catching up on some things and drinking. What’s in my glass? The Saskatoon by For Bitter For Worse, which I’ve been wanting to try for a very long time!

The Saskatoon is a non-alcoholic cocktail with flavors of Tart Berry, Black Pepper and Tannic Douglas Fir Finish, and it is delicious! It’s root-y, reminiscent of a good cold-pressed juice with a hint of beet in it. It’s not fizzy or overly sweet, but also not so tart that you wish it had sugar. The juniper to me is not overly prominent, although I also love the pine needle taste of gin. I rated it a 4 overall- I would definitely buy it again, but I don’t see myself craving it necessarily.

I got this bottle in a gift trio sampler pack from BetterRhodes containing 3 bottles of For Bitter or Worse’s best-selling non-alcoholic cocktails. They are typically sold in larger bottles, although I really like it this way. It would be perfect for bringing to a holiday party. Check out my other review for Eva’s Spritz, which was my favorite, and Smoky No 56, which I didn’t care for as much.
