Lyre’s Amalfi Spritz

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Oh you guys, this one is just divine. One of my favorites. Let me count the ways:

  1. It realistically tastes like a mixed drink. It has the aftertaste of an old fashioned and the crispness of an Americano or Aperol Spritz.
  2. It’s in a CAN! So I can bring it to gatherings or parties and have a “drink” without carrying my entire bar around.
  3. It’s easy to pour when I don’t feel like mixing something, and since it’s single serving, I don’t need to worry about any going bad!

The downside? It’s a bit pricey ($18 for a 4-pack), and it’s so popular that it’s flying off the shelves so it can be hard to find in stock! A few places I buy this from to be shipped are BetterRhodes and Boisson.

If you’ve never heard of Lyre’s, they’re an up and comer in the Non-Alcoholic Spirit space. I’ll definitely post more of their products, as a few have made the top of my list (and a few haven’t). Interestingly enough, looking at the ingredients, this canned drink could be just as easily replicated using a couple other of their products: The Classico, another canned drink that I didn’t love as much on it’s own, and the Italian Spritz, which is a bottled apertif alternative that is on my Top 3 Absolute Favorites list, and a little sparkling water.

Update: After buying bottles directly from Lyre’s, received a free drink coaching session with one of their mixologists and we made the Amalfi Spritz, here are the proportions you need to make this at home!

A roughly 8oz can of Amalfi Spritz has 70 calories and 16 carbohydrates, and since it’s entirely a mocktail, 0.0% alcohol. The tagline describes it as “The classic Spritz, evoking notes of bittersweet orange and Mediterranean Refreshment”.

Cheers!
